I am strongly considering converting to overdrive, and I need to make the
decision ASAP. My TR4A Gearbox is at Quantum and for $1000 or so it can come
back with an A-Type overdrive and all the bits required (switch, solenoid,
harness, etc.) to complete the installation.

For those who have made the switchb&Would you do it again?.. I have never
driven or even taken a ride in an overdrive equipped TR, but it certainly seems
to be on everyone's wish list. I donbt regularly drive mine long distances,
but hope to do more touring now that I am getting everything back in order. A
700 RPM reduction on the highway sounds appealing. Do you use it much in other
gears? I can imagine, for example, roads where one might leave it in Third
gear and engage overdrive rather than shifting to Fourth and back,b&but donbt
know if that how it is actually sed in practice.

Also, I am interested to know what impact the move would have on re-sale value?
Does anyone know from experience or Blue Book what this option adds?

Don't want to appear overly analytical, but I alway try to back-up my emotional
decisions with a sound reasoning whenever possible :)
