Hi List,
A long long time ago I was given two rear fenders for a TR3 we guessed.
As I assembled my car I had one of the fenders installed. The body shop
called and complained that the fender bowed out at the top of the wheel
arch when the tried to get it to fit. They finally got it on. I tried
a few years ago, after a tree limb fell on my car, to have the other
spare fender put on the other side of the car. I got the same phone
call from the body shop about the bowing at the top of the wheel arch.
This body shop could not get the fender on the car.
All this seems to indicate that the spare fenders might be a little too
long. I have spoken to my local TR guru and he says all TR2, TR3, &
TR3A rear fenders were the same and should interchange.
Can any of you explain why these Triumph rear fenders might be a little
too long.
Thanks,
Tom
