Ford Fiesta, not Festiva. Needs to be a 78-80 US model with air
conditioning or heavy duty electrical system (standard duty was a Motorcraft
alternator that was completely different).

The only advantage of the GM alternator is that it's more readily available,
and perhaps slightly cheaper. It's definitely more hassle to install. My
local parts house had to special order the Bosch (took 3 days), and ISTR the
total price was about $70 (including the core charge).
