I think I get it now. Here is the "shopping list" as I have it so far: - new 7mm solid core wires with suppression ends. Ideally 90deg bend to "look" right - grease up the pivot points on linkage to ensure no binding - new cap, fairly cheap and will make sure there is no crack in other - new rotor, mine has been re-"dressed" a number of times - verify the tension on the shaft return springs. - the PO is on this list as well and reminded me the carbs do have new bushings and were rebuilt before I bought them. Along with what "FT" was saying about shaft expansion I think the shafts may still be in good shape cause I checked them cold this morning. - new set of plugs Anything I missed? I love when I have a plan of attack :-D David Templeton '59 TR3a /// triumphs@autox.team.net mailing list /// or try http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// Archives at http://www.team.net/archive |
