After taking a course at the local college, I'm considering
buying a gas MIG welder. Tomorrow night I'm going to look
at a "PowerMIG" unit. The seller didn't know the rating, but
it is 115V which is what I was looking for (no 220V in my garage)
Any experience with this brand, availability of parts, apparently
it is made in Italy?
>From what the seller described, it has several voltage settings,
then of course the wire speed dial. How necessary is continuously
variable voltage for bodywork? Are the discrete steps harder to
work with? Lincoln has a nice variable voltage unit, 115V, but it
is close to $CA 1000 :(

Thanks for any advice
Jeff
