Hi (again) - I guess I should have read both of your postings berore
responding. I used a straight brass drain pipe (left over from an old
plumbing project), and it seems to work fine. The hoses at each end are
flexible enough to make up for the lack of the bend. It seems to me, as I
recall since I am not at home, that the diameter of the pipe is greater than
1 inch. Take your old one to the store, so the diameters match. Good Luck.
