The factory's position was that the races should only be replaced as a
matched set with the rollers ... and I'm inclined to agree with that.  TRF
sells the bearing assy complete with the outer race, GHB110 for the outer
bearing and GHB111 for the inner bearing, or QWB107 is a kit with one of
each bearing plus a seal (two kits required per car).

Replace them if there's any doubt about the condition of the rollers or
races, discoloration, pits, roughness, matte finish, etc.  If they're kept
clean and lubricated they may last the life of the car ... or not.  Removing
the outer races is likely to do invisible damage, don't remove them unless
you're replacing them.
