Uneven brake wear

 Check your textbooks gentlemen, uneven pad wear on the same caliper is almost 
always caused by a problem in the slide mechanism. Clean the pins & the 
mounting surfaces, if the pins are rusty or bent replace them. Lube with a 
quality high temp substance, Sylglyde comes to mind (NFI),that says it is to be 
used on brakes. Probably not an issue on old Girling systems but make sure none 
of the seals around the sliders are swollen from exposure to petroleum based 
lubricants-if they are replace them.Alex
