Of course they are... to those who desire them.  That is the problem
with this sort of debate.  Everyone has his own desires.  So when it is
all said and done, any opinion is a correct one.

P.S. But I must disagree with the assumption that if the Herald never
existed, there would be no Spitfires.  The Spitfire could have happened
anyway but in a different form without the swing-axles or other pieces
derived from the Herald.  It was easy to derive the Spit from an
existing platform, so if the Herald was never built but some other
completely different small sedan was built in it's place, the Spitfire
may have sprung from that car's loins.
