When I bought one of my TR4s . . it had HUGE tires on the stock wheels.

(I think TR4 steel wheels are the same as TR3? no? are they wider?)

Anyway . . I asked the seller about it, and he said "yeah, I always like to put
a size or two bigger on there."

Unfortunately, the people before him must have had the same idea, and he never
bothered to look up what the "stock" size was.

If I recall . . the tires were 205 75R 15

Yep . . on stock TR4 rims.
They looked like balloons!

I bought the car and flogged it around a little for fun before putting the
wheels off my wrecked TR4 (with correct 165 R 15 tires) on it.

Believe it or not . .the tires held on the rims okay.

However the front ones would rub when I made certain manouvers, or had a BIG
passenger.

:-)

Will a 185R15 tire fit a TR3A with stock wheels.
