The fuel pump on my 1964 non Triumph LBC decided to start leaking enormous
amounts of gasoline all over the garage floor this afternoon. As there is no
such thing as a positive ground fuel pump available at any local auto parts
store (like I needed to call and even ask...) and I didn't want ALL of my LBCs
to be broken, I decided to install a new solid state low volume electric pump
in place of the old SU. I figured, no big deal, just switch polarity on the
pump.
So, when I do this, will it change the direction of flow on the pump? Or will
there be any other possible damage to the pump. The alternative is to switch
polarity on the car which will kill my old positive ground radio.
Any help is appreciated.
