For engines in general:
First step is to install a know good mechanical oil pressure gauge. If the
pressure is still low, check for a broken pressure relief spring or stuck
open relief slide valve. ( If you have a external oil pump this is easy)
If these are still OK and the engine is not knocking, pull the oil pan and
check for a cracked oil pick up tube. ( Sucking air )
There is a chance a oil passage plug has fallen out allowing oil to go
directly back to the pan. Someone familiar with your engine should know if
this is possible.
Low oil pressure is rarely the fault of the pump.
