Yes I have had it rev hard even with the issues - but the revs were not
providing power - it was strange.
The needle hit 5700 when we had some issues with clutch slip. I was at 4000
or so and working hard to get up a hill and whoosh it went round to 5700 and
scared the shit out of me. The lightened flywheel really changed the feel of
the motor.

Glen---It still could be a fuel supply problem, even if the pump puts
out enough pressure and volume. Also add checking the thimble-shaped
screens that can be found where fuel enters the float bowl on some SU
carbs. What is the highest rpm the engine has seen since going back
together?
