I have been saying this to mechanics for a while and nobody else has agreed.
Nice to finally have someone think the way I think.
There was work done on the distributor re: the vacuum advance. I guess it is
possible that the advance is sticking sometimes.
I have new plugs and new leads.
I guess a faulty condenser could produce a regular misfire and perhaps it only
happens under certain conditions such as high revs. I guess this would show
itself as an inability to rev any further. This would also make sense because
if it is electrical it may show itself as intermittent.
I don't see how points would cause an intermittent problem though.

Glen, a F/P such as you have delivers more fuel as the RPM's increase,
pressure at this point has nothing to do with it, you cannot check pressure
with you trying to pump the handle yourself, you can hook-up a gauge and
then reconnect to your carb lines, this will give you pressure, again this
proves nothing except how much pressure you have, which will be the same at
10 MPH or 75 MPH, your problem is ==electrical==, either in the points out
of adjustment, condenser failing, spark plug wires breaking down, or lastly
your coil is heating up and not working, 95% of ==ALL== carb problems are
