Am reassembling a TR3 gearbox and OD unit. Safety wire is used in several
places to secure bolts. I remember using soft stainless steel wire
(government supplied) on rotary wing aircraft many decades ago. Is a
special safety wire required or can 20 gauge steel wire be used? This wire
is covered with oil so corrosion is not a problem.
