I measured accross the low tension terminals on a variety of coils.
Results...
marking: 15P6 value: 2.2 ohms 6V coil (fairly new Lucas)
marking: 11P12 value: 3.5 ohms 12V coil (fairly new Lucas)
marking: 16C6 value: 2.2 ohms 6V coil (original 1973 Lucas)
marking: 12V value: 4.0 ohms 12V generic coil (Vicky Brit)
I wonder what a Sport coil would measure?
