I agree with you in some cases. I was always taught by my Dad and from my
Dad's dad. That if you be honest to people they will come back. That is what
we do. Treat everyones car as if it was your own.
But I do disagree that you can set your car by just regular hand tools. Yes
you can do it to a certain extent. Try getting your SAI angle from the hand
tools.How about toe-out in turns. All this can cause tire wear. Yes computer
is faster and you must have knowledge to run it. Also you must know what all
the angles say. Just because the machine says it is in alignment dosen't
mean the customer's car is right. Everyone has a differant driving habit and
the car should be set by that.
I saw the same program you saw. It discussed me. People should noy be in
that kind of field.
But like I said before. Ask around. People talk about who they trust.
This is all we do, alignments, no tires, no brakes, no muflers. Look for a
specialty shop. That is where you will find good work. Also if it had been
run by family. Three generations here.
But hey, this is America, and everyone has an opinion.
