Dave & List, to do any bearing work or any work on this engine without pulling it isextremely foolish, Dave has already said how much has been destroyed/wipedout, where do you think all this metal is at, inside that block. A short term rebuild of what you can get at is very foolish, the engine should come out and be hot tanked, all passages cleaned out and do the job right, there is no short-cuts here unless you want ot do it again in 30 days, this is not just my opinion, think about it and it will be yours also.
