You should be able to blow their doors off - unless they are supercharged.
My six at 70mph does 3200rpm (no overdrive) and will jump to 80 in the blink
of an eye. I've had this car up to 100mph and the one I bought new in '71
over 110 (for those in So. Cal., on the transition road from North 605 to
West 10). You might have the wrong ratio differential.
