As the vacuum advance also has no effect on Wide-Open-Throttle (as there is
no vacuum at this throttle position) most racers don't bother with it
either since precious little time is spent at part throttle and also since
fuel economy takes a back seat to most other aspects of engine operation.
If it's there, use it. If it's not, don't sweat it.
Just drive the thing!
