Just added plates to mine. Am setting up the car to run in car club
lapping days and autocrossing. Had the exhaust out, read all the
warnings, so decided to look. Sure enough, the passenger side front
mount was broken and folded up under the stud.

Ordered repair plates; in December from TRF, but they never came, so had
4 made up from the drawing availble at the url below. Had a portable
welder guy come and weld them in -- did both sides of the broken one
[note, had to pry the folded under broken part out with a crow bar in
order to get the brackets to fit inside the mounts.

Great stuff at the site, erase the diff mounts part and see all the
repair goodies that are described

Good Luck,

Chuck

While the snow continues to melt in Upstate NY, thoughts of spring and
progress on replacing rear springs and trailing arm bushings on my 74 6
has
been sidetracked by finding the right front diff mount broken, along its

leading edge. Probably helps explain some of the throttle steer we've
enjoyed so much since we got it!

>From the archives, it sounds like this isn't uncommon. Most of the
postings
emphasize replacing the bushings before it gets this far, but there
wasn't
much about the repair once it has.

Any precautions / experiences / advice?

Jim
