Rossi and Clarke in The TR250 and TR6 Companion report that the first TR6 racing cars were in fact the TR250s campaigned the year before with the new bodies bolted on. So the reverse might be true if indeed the TR250 and 4A use the same frame. The TRF catalogs might be able to answer this.
