surprising at a time when it was believed proposed US rollover standards
would effectively ban convertibles. At that time, and considering how things
were going in general for Triumph and the rest of Leyland, it's amazing that
they did as well as they did with the TR7/8 convertible.
And for those of us who think the roofs of the TR7 coupes are "butt ugly", the
convertible ones were a blessing!!!
