I have had Weber DGV Carbs on my '70 TR6 for about 6
years. I have no problems with them. I think the
performance is better than the stock carbs. Plugs
burn clean. I pull the choke out all the way, which
is the max choke level on the carbs (make sure you are
getting the full range of motion on throttle and choke
at the carb - some linkage adjustment may be
necessary) and the car starts and runs fine. I also
have a Lucas Sport Coil installed.
For my application with no other engine mods I am very
happy with the carbs. I switched because the
strombergs needed to be rebuilt and I wanted to try a
more modern carb.
