Eric, There are several threads about the wisdom of using any sealant at all
on the head gasket. Deciding that a sealant of some sort was necessary I tried
copper spray when I reinstalled the head on my TR-4. I found the material
extremely difficult to use, i.e. how much is enough, how do you spray it on
evenly, how do you stop it from running, etc. The reinstallation of the head
did not work for various reasons. When I reinstalled the head again I chose to
use Permatex Form-a-Gasket #3. It does not look nearly as nice but it is much
easier to use.
