It is within spec, at least for the moment. This is not an easy
clearance to control when the thrust washers come in 5 thou
increments. When I replaced mine, I used a std and a +5. This gave
me 5 thou clearance (I started with 12), which I thought was close
enough to 6, given that it should bed down quickly.
If I had used two std thrust washers, I would have had 10 thou
clearance - hardly worth the effort.
What I did not consider at the time, was reusing the old thrust
washers, particularly the back one which does not take the load of
the clutch and should be less worn. If this one is -1 to -3, it
would give you more control over the clearance. Any comments from
the list?
