Progress is being made! The redlines have been removed,
the wire weels are at the powder coat shop, and the
new tires are waiting in the garage. And the TR6 sits
sadly in the garage on jackstands...
And I hate the idea of putting the new stuff back
together with tubes.
I know new wire wheels are nicely sealed to work with
tubeless tires, but is it possible to retrofit older
wires some way. I've heard of blobs of RTV/silicone
being used. And I've seen what looks like a tar tape
sealant on one. But I'm not sure if either really
does a reliable job. Thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks,
Joe

ps. I now have 6 Michelin redlines which need to
be sold. They range from "new, never mounted" to
"like many TR drivers, old and slightly balding".
If you're interested, contact me off list. I'll
eventually get my act together and put them on ebay.
Consider this the "offer to the list first" notice
that some seem to think so important...
