I used to hate changing tires period, especially since I worked mainly on 
trucks (Petes, KW's and Freightliners, what a pain!!!).  After I thought 
about it, it did make a little sense considering what they were liable to run 
over.  The one good thing was the used tires were sold to recoup some of the 
costs.
