Yes, by diesel, I mean run-on.  I thought it was not caused by a rich engine, 
actually
lean might be worse (I think).  It is mostly caused by a hot spot or edge 
igniting the
mixture in the absence of spark.  

I thought 6's had an anti-run-on valve!!!!
