I don't know of a modern (manufacturing date since mid-60's) commercially-available without a self-adjusting clutch. < I had a 1980 Datsun with a manually adjusted clutch slave cylinder but you are right, why would anyone not implement a self adjusting design when all it invlolves is a slightly longer cylinder and a spring?
