Hi Scott:

Just a note to say your post was quite timely and its content most
thoughtful and appropriate. Clearly, your 'our kind of guy'!

Over on the Jensen list, we have recently 'found' some Jensen-Healey and GT
owners, and linked, and encouraged them to participate with our Jensen 2000
'Moonlight in the Mountains convention scheduled for Aug 31-Sept 4 in
Hiawasee, Georgia. Organizer is Aaron Gross of Atlanta. Website
http://www.british-steel.org/J2000.

I am looking forward to the Capital Triumph Register 'Britain on the Green'
(April 30th at Mt. Vernon Virgina), and the Triumph Register's Pocono
Mountain, Pennsylvania 'TRA2000' events for my TR-4's first debut after its
three year restoration, and over on the triumph list- a great number of
Triumphants have been immeasurably helpful in the final stages of
restoration, with both rare parts and consultation.

Please recall from our earlier E-mails that I try to make every week
'British Car Appreciation Week'- if I'm not able to drive one due to weather
(thus respecting the British Car), I am cherishing the legacy, learning more
about the technical indiosyncracies, or engaging in a 'project', all while
keeping the 'Proper Project Attitude'.:

'65 TR4
current projects: 'original era' vintage road lamps with modern circuitry,
Rallye Decal, Installing self-rebuilt original wiper motor.

'72 Jaguar E-Type Ser III FHC
current project: annual new voltage regulator

'76 Jaguar XJ12C
current project: exhaust leak, to the paint shop)

''76 Jensen GT
current project: Alternator wiring repairs, rebuilding spare cylinder head
'89 Jaguar XJS
current projects: replacing all power steering hoses (serious leak began
March 2000), left blower box with 'Lucas Disease'.
just replaced seat heater, cooling hoses and aux. air valve over winter

'96 Jaguar XJR
current project: getting rid of ludicrous Pirellis, which after 6 wheel
balances in 6 months, refuse to behave 'properly' at highway speeds for more
than 30 miles, change to Michelin Pilot XGTZ4's, as recommended by listers
on several continents and Jag techs; and resolve a 'new' idle vibration felt
even though that gorgeous steering wheel

Additional Project: Finalize trip plans to 'collect' another British
vehicle.

SO List-, you see I'm having 'fun here', there, and everywhere!
