Sounds like the right unit, the hole for the F post is rectangular and should 
have
a plastic/nylon insulator around it.  The insulator stays with the post when the
end plate is removed.  You might take the end plate off (after positioning the
brushes out of the way) and see if the insulator is in there and just pushed 
down
inside a bit.  I had one that tended to do this, never went all the way in but 
was
getting less and less post sticking out.  A bit of JB Weld keeps it in place now
(just a bit so it can be removed again it need be).
