Hi Brendan,

I am a member of the Triumph Sports Car Club of San Diego and would like to
welcome you to the wonderful world of Triumphs. You have already made a very
important first step by becoming a member of this list. You will finds this a
fantastic source of technical info as well as a way to keep in touch with people
around the world who have a common passion for Little British Cars.

The next best step is to become a member of the TSSCSD. We met the first
Thursday of every month , except January, at the Boll Wevil in Kearny Mesa at
7:30 p.m. Every month we have some type of club tour/activity that allows us to
have fun in the TRs. Also, one of the club members owns and operates British
Heritage Motor Sports, a garage dedicated to keeping our Triumphs on the road.
They do excellent work at bargain prices!

Hello, my name is Brendan from Poway, CA. This is my first time to this list
and just learning more and more about Triumphs everyday. This is my story
(so far): I am 16, and I have just recently purchased a '76 TR6, and
coincidentally my best friend is in the process of purchasing a '77
Spitfire. Anyway, upon seeking more info, we happened to stumble upon some
MG pictures and sites and noticed that some of the MG's have steering wheels
on right and some on the left, but we were just wondering, and I thought
not, but do any Triumphs have the steering wheels on the right?

By now you have received several answers to the above questions. There are a
couple of RHD Triumphs is San Diego county. You have already heard from Jeff
McNeal who is the proud owner of a RHD Spitfire. I own a 1970 Home Market TR6
which means it is right hand drive and has the 150 h.p. petrol injected engine.
I am just putting the finishing touches on a five year frame off restoration.
My car was made in England but I got it while living in Australia.

We are planning to start in a few weeks and do a complete rebuild. And I can't
but barely control myself until the day I get to drive it! It is also my
first car.

Yes, the fun had already begun; its even better when you are behind the wheel
cruising down the road with the top down!!

Cheers,

Dave Stauffacher
