Mine is the same way as yours George, if I were to run the car in the
evening with lights on, pull into a parking space and rev the engine-up with
the lights now off, she will charge quite a bit, then cut back after a few
minutes. Under normal driving (day) the ammeter very seldom moves after
start-up. "FT"
