I've mixed and sprayed many of the historic Triumph colors onto metal sample
panels as part of a color guide I'm working on. I used ICI paint, a modern
urethane called "2K". All but a few Triumph colors have current formulas.
When lacking well-preserved original samples of paint, I've found this to be
the best way to establish what a color should look like. Next best would be
old color cards, although far from an ideal choice due to age and the
questionable quality of the original color match.
Any ICI shop can mix a 1/4 pt of these colors. I posted ICI paint codes to
the list some time ago. ICI customer service (1-800-647-6050) can direct
you to a local supplier. (Sorry, not available in California)
