Some one answered on the windscreen removal.
The top crash pad will stay in place... unless you are going to replace it.
Wasn't sure from your note.
The top crash pad is kept in place by a piece of the vinyl covering being
held between the dash face and the scuttle or whatever the top of the dash
is called. Lay down on you back with your feet hanging over the seats and
go behind the dash to loosen the screws at the top junction of the scuttle
and the dash face. The top crash pad will slip out. The new one goes in
the same way. You have to fuss with the thing a bit to get rid of the
wrinkles..... by pulling on the piece of vinyl from behind the dash while
someone else tightens the screws with a extra long screw driver.
BTW... with the dash loose....now is the time to replace the right and left
had crash pads as well. Hope this helps.
