I've had the same problem with a TR3A engine that sat uncovered in the rain
(in a junkyard, NOT on my watch <g>). After years of soaking (PB Blaster
and Kano Kroil are two good products that haven't been mentioned), I
resorted to a length of 1" pipe, and a BFH. It actually did amazingly
little damage to the piston or cylinder wall (NOT that I would have ever
reused either one, they were both ruined to begin with).
