I have a TR4 transmission that I am rebuilding. The transmission guts are
the
same from ther TR3b through early TR6. I am searching for s STEEL
2nd gear (top hat) bushing. I amy also need a thicker thrust washer than
standard (0.124).
These transmissions had brass bushings when original, but
the steel ones made similar to the late TR6 design last longer.
I have gotten the 1st and 3rd bushings, but the steel 2nd gear
bushings are out of stock from Moss and Moss UK.
Does anyone happen to have one on hand they would be willing
to part with? I have the trasnsmission apart on my desk nest to me
waiting for this part! I hate to have to go to the brass bushings which
are quicker to wear out.
