Ken:

I installed an ignitor this year while at Carlisle and it is
one of a few adjustments that I have done to the 6 that the
improvement is immediately noticable. Starts much quicker,
less time with choke on, NO POINTS or CONDENSORS to hastle
with (FT can attest to wows with my condensor), etc., etc.
The ignitor fits right under the dizzy cap and you only notice
it isn't stock by the extra wire going to the coil. I carry my
points and condensor all hooked together so if I ever have a
problem I can pull the ignitor and put in the mechanical points
and back to running. It takes about 10 minutes to install
the ignitor and the only caution is you must make sure you
have the wires attached correctly to the coil or it will fry.

My .02 cents.
