TR6 Top-Cloth or Vinyl?

i'm interested in the lister's comments about the pros and cons about
going with cloth (canvas or mohair) versus vinyl. any reliability
problems or quality concerns with one over the other? 
        canvas and vinyl run about the same price, with mohair probably adding
about $200 to the vinyl price. i love the look of the cloth but don't
want to worry about fading, bird droppings, and the like. any advice
would be appreciated.
