I took the time to make my own emergency hood release on the TR6. Very
easy job actually. I bought a hood cable replacement kit at Advance
auto parts and since it has a ring on the end of the wire, I simply
hooked it onto the existing bolt under a washer. Then ran the line
under the existing retaining clip, down through a hole near the carbs,
toward the front past the radiator and coiled the remaining wire up near
the charcoal canister. It does work but requires a decent pull, but
it's for emergencies, right??? Only a $10 job.
