Andy (and anyone else wondering about parking)...
We have made arrangements with the city of Portland to block off the street in
front of the Holiday Inn (Spring Street) for 2 blocks for nose-in, angled
parking of Triumphs only -- (take yer stinkin' trailers and F*rd Expl*rers and
hide 'em please!). This will be free for anyone in a Triumph. It now looks
like we will have more registered cars than can be parked on Spring Street, but
most of them will fit, but it will be "first come first parked". If you MUST
bring a trailer (and 50+ of you say you will), we have made arrangements for
parking them too, we'll give you directions when you get here.

Even though I'm on the Triumph digest and haven't contributed much in the
last year or so, I guess I'm still a lister and had best announce my
intention to be in Portland.
I'll be leaving St. Paul, Minnesota on the 23rd or 24th and heading east in
the 1970 GT6+. There'll be a couple cars with me but I'm not sure which of
the Minnesota caravans will let me accompany them. (Most of the other
Minnesota cars will be TR6's although the club has one teenager driving her
Spitfire.) Arrival in Portland sometime on the 28th after a stop in
Montreal the night before. Staying at the Radisson (it's been a few years
since I've gotten into the official host hotel at one of these parties). Is
there a Triumph lot at the Holiday Inn or do I have to pay the Radisson the
$6/night they want to keep my car safe from lobsters and other vandals?
Andy Lindberg (Let's see, the trip should be 3+K. Maybe one of these days
I should change the oil or do something else to prep the car? Nah, plenty
of time next week.)
