I think you are referring to the tubes that carry away any water that
gets into the plenum chamber. The tubes route the water under the wing
and on to the sills where you can't see the result - rust ! The water
from the bonnet also get sent in the same direction through a hole on
each side under the bonnet. This is the main source of water as the
plenum chamber does not get much in it. I made a connector for mine
and put a tube on to it - then joined this to the tube to which you are
referring and routed the result (using 15 mm copper pipe and rubber
tubes) out through the plate between the body tub and the wing. There
is a picture of this 'sewage disposal system' on my web site on
http://websites.diamond.co.uk/~b.johnson/tr4-h.jpg (with the wing
removed of course) this also shows you where the holes under the
bonnet are. A 'kit' for this is available from Moss - it is just a
rubber tube and two grommets to suit.
