If what you're looking at has an OD of about 13/16" (.813") then it's a
sleeve.  The pin is only about 5/8" (.625") in diameter.  Mine came off
with a bit of twisting with pliers.

I'd probably use a Dremel cutoff wheel to slit the sleeve lengthwise as
much as possible, then a cold chisel and BFH to finish spreading it.
