Here's the description I received, of a Mk III GT6 for sale (1972):
The car has 142,000 miles, recently rebuilt transmission, and good
tires (Michelin). It has never been wrecked and has had no engine
work other than normal maintenance. The engine is smooth and
starts easily. The body has been repainted once, several years
ago, in the original color. There is some rust on the lower panels,
worst on the right side.
There were some photos attached, but of course they didn't show the
rust :-) The car looks complete, and pics of the people box shows
a clean, complete interior. I know to look for rust in the firewall,
and to check the compression; but barring any major problems, does
this sound like a $2900 car to you?
