Probably many ways, but I mounted a 12" fan on the front of the rad
using 6.5" long 1/4" bolts... sawed the heads off, bent in an "L" shape,
hooked the short length of the L behind the rad and ran the long end
thru the 4 mounting holes on the electric fan. Put some fuel line on
the short leg of the L to allow the whole thing to clamp down without
damaging the radiator or vibrating loose. Used self-locking nuts. It
was just a cheapo fan from Checker Auto Parts with a toggle switch to
control manaully.

This approach is easily removable, can be done by removing just the
grille and allows the cardboard deflector and original fan to remain in
place. Have used it for several years with no problem and no
re-tightening.

Email me off-list if you want specific details and/or a photo of the
mount.
