Sorry to burst in... I've been reading the list for a few months now after
having decided to look for and purchase a (1957?) TR3. (I owned a 1980 TR7
convertible, purchased new, for about three years until I had to buy a more
practical car for a family.) I have learned of some useful tip; thank you.
I wanted to mention to anyone who is in the Wheaton, Illinois area that
there is a classic car show every friday during the summer from 7pm to 9pm.
I went to the show for the first time two weeks ago and was so pleased I
decided to go again. The show has about 30 cars ranging from muscle cars,
to race cars, to monster trucks - and most importantly - English cars.
The last two shows featured Jaguars (XK120 and a V12 E-type), an MG, two
Austin Healys and for the first time a TR4A (which was for sale). There
have been good sized crowds at each show. cars can be exhibited free of
charge; just show up.
