Hello again, I'm trying (for a long time now) to replace the ignition lock cylinder. I just can't seem to get the new one to go in (purchased from VB if that gives anyone a clue). It acts like it hangs up on the little "knob" that pushes up to lock the cylinder in place. It measures about the same (as close as I can tell) as the original (which goes back in with no problem), but the spring mechanism that pushes that little knob up is much stiffer on the new than the old. Does anyone have any tricks for how to fit this back in? Thanks, Dave Moag 62 TR3B (with serious DPO revenge at the moment) 77 Spitfire |
