Keith,
I recently got a reconditioned diff back in my car and it had (and hopefully
today has) not play. If you feel any play, the diff needs to be rebuild very
soon. Usually, the thrust washes need to be replaced. The gears in my diff were
still ok (75,000 miles). Now, with the new diff, all the vibration which my car
had at higher speeds, are gone.
