Checked with my parts manager this am. We can have the TR shoes bonded
up for
$130.00/set, we will need an old (or new) set of shoes for a core.
Takes
about 2 weeks. I'm going big in the front, won't change the rear brakes
at
all as these shoes work very well with no downside on the street. On a
former
GT3 car we had the option of going to rear discs, didn't have to with
these shoes
installed. Performance/racing pads can be made too, just need some pad
backing plates (I'll have to round up a price on these too)

I was looking for a simple, well documented answer but, alas, there
doesn't seem to be one.
Did my own sleuthing:
The Panasports for the GT6/spit are
13x5.5 et 20, 4 on 95.25. There's a listing for the FS14 wheel for a
TR7/8 Super 7 in a
14x6, et 15, same bolt pattern. This would put the inside tire mounting
surface 11.7mm (about 7/16")
closer to the body than the stock wheel, 1.3 mm closer than the Pansport
13x5.5. There
appears to be at least that much room on my fine example. (note, there
is a 10.5mm inner lip and a 11.5 outer lip on the Panasports and stock
wheels which you have to add to get the total width of the wheel) How
about a 205/55/14 tire? The rolling diameter is close to stock, may end
up with a small spacer to accomodate the tire (?) 185/60 and 195/60's
are options too. I don't know why they don't list the 14's for the GT6,
I assume that the 5.5" have more than 1.35 mm clearance to the
suspension components. In a conversation with them today they wouldn't
confirm or deny the fitment, hence my mathematical exercise. The 14x6's
show a list of 185.00 in the Pansport book. 15's would be nice too, but
I think I can fit some good sized brakes under the 14's. Of course, HRE
can build a wheel to your specs, ie 15x6 or 6.5, about $475.00/wheel,
how about 16's for $500.00/wheel? The Touring car look for your
Triumph! Where'd I put that sledge hammer...
Best Regards,

Allen
